Often our busy lives prevent us from taking the time to let people know the positive affect their work has on our businesses or, for that matter, on our lives.

I have been in business in Covina for 15 years during which I’ve had nothing but positive assistance and interaction with the city both as part of the normal course of doing business but also when taking advantage of various programs which may become available through the city.

Not long ago I took advantage of the program made available through the City that allowed us to upgrade the façade of the building we rent. This completed work not only greatly improved the look of our building but also has been a positive addition to our overall business.

For this program as well as others in the past I’ve worked with Robert Neiuber from the city’s redevelopment department.

Not only is Mr. Neiuber a consummate professional but he and the redevelopment department do an absolutely exceptional job maximizing the use of available funds to assist local businesses by making us aware of various programs and then assisting us in taking the appropriate steps to apply for and to properly use the funds once they are made available.

In these trying economic times it is truly an example of a very positive synergy between the public and private sectors that I felt it beneficial you knew about. The redevelopment department and Mr. Neiuber and the programs they administer are examples of government that works.
