What’s The Buzz?Lowe’s July 27, 2010 Lowe’s Endorsement Of The City Of Covina For The Los Angeles County’s “Most Business Friendly City” Award Dear Daryl: The purpose of this letter is to serve as Lowe’s endorsement for the City of Covina’s use in nominating itself for the Los Angeles County’s “Most Business Friendly City” Award. As you know, I am Lowe’s Site Development Manager in charge of the development of a 150,000 square foot Lowe’s Home Improvement retail store now under construction in the City of Covina. However, if not for the tireless efforts and support from the Mayor, City Council Members and espedally City Staff Lowe’s might still be waiting for all the construction clearances needed to start our project. Earlier this year, the Lowe’s project was plagued with countless delays due to utility clearances and coordination issues with outside Agencies. The Covina City Staff stepped in each time there was an issue and worked countless hours, after hours, and on days off to keep the Lowe’s project on schedule. I have over twenty years of experience in national retail development and know firsthand what it takes for a City to be considered “business friendly.” In my opinion the City of Covina deserves the title of “Most Business Friendly City” for their herculean efforts to approve/ permit and keep the Lowe’s project on schedule. Sincerely, |
